I’m often asked about the costs of file recovery from phones and hard drives. Usually hard drives are more expensive to recover than phones. The usual prices are between £200 and £400 for phones and £500 to £800 for hard drives. My latest enquiries to recover files from devices include:
I have a samsung 1tb external HDD. It failed about two of months ago. I took it to another data recovery company. At the time I didn’t know about Data Clinic. They managed to recover about 230gb. This HDD is nearly full. I am wondering if you can recover more. Just to let you know there is quiet a lot of adult content (pictures and videos). I will understand if you dont want to recover the Hdd due to this. I was told that the drive failed due to a power surge.
Accidently dropped my Seagate hard drive, now it making a clicking sound and will not work. This happened in 2009 but quotes were very expensive then. I have kept it hoping the cost of recovery would drop. I have lots of photos I would like to recover.
My LG 3s was playing up so my wife reset it to factory settings last week and I have obviously lost all my messages and other data. Is there any way the messages can be retrieved please?
Water damaged iphone. phone is not charging or connecting to my mac. i forgot passcode lock on my iphone 5s. i cannot get into it any more, i do not want to reset it as my pictures are on it, can you get pictures off?
I cannot access the files on My Passport. Sometimes the pc recognises the device and shows they are there but most of the time it does not. When they do show they cannot copy across. The pc always recognises something is plugged in, just not what it is. What I need to know more than anything is how much this might cost me. I am only working for another month before becoming self employed (for very little)!
I’ve had my external WD Hard Drive for around 4-5 years now. It has been flawless and I have almost 800gb worth of data on there. Recently, I’ve been having issues connecting my external HD to my computer. Whenever I plug in the USB, my computer will start lagging and I won’t be able to open “My Computer” or load any other folders. Additionally, the external HD is no longer recognised or detected by my PC. When it is plugged in, Local Drive (F:) shows up but I won’t be able to click into it (it will just lag and get stuck). Device Manager seems to detect the WD passport and also there are no Yellow Warning Signals on any of the USB ports.
Western Digital 2TB WD Elements, USB Bus powered. WDBU6Y0020BBK-01. Hard-drive is powering up over USB and is detected as a USB device. Hard-drive letter is shown but unable to access (just hangs). Hasn’t received any physical trauma, it was left connected to a PC in an air conditioned comms room and failed out of the blue. Can’t hear any of the typical drive failure noises i’m used to (clanging etc) there’s a low pitched sound followed by what sounds like the drive resetting. Hoping to get some rough costs on recovery and timescales, there’s a lot of data on there but only 1 or 2 folder which should be less than 300GB (if memory serves) which we care about. I’m based in the Stockport / Manchester area.
I have dropped a WD external HD and cannot acces my data anymore. Is there anything you can do? I am home today if you want to come and collect my HD. I am in Walkley, Sheffield S6 3TR
