I dropped my hard drive and the next day plugged it in to use and it wouldn’t work. I showed it to a pc repair shop and they said it has failed. I am not sure if it makes a clicking noise or anything as I was using it in public and couldn’t hear it. I’m looking for a quote for data recovery, it holds a lot of my medical school files and study videos on it, with exams soon this is a huge loss! Please let me know a quote or give me a call, looking forward to hearing from you. I am from london so I would use one of the London centres
Thanks for your enquiry. Is the data on your hard drive sensitive? ie. is the information on there private? If yes then there are various data recovery protocols that have to be applied when retrieving the files from the hard drive. You are quite welcome to call in at any of the London centres.

Hard driver does not show up when connected to computer so unable to open any files. Looking to recover the files on the drive.
Is there a price estimate of how much this would cost and how long it would take?
The costs for having the data taken off a hard drive depend on if there’s anything wrong with the hard drive. If it’s working correctly then it’s a flat fee depending on how many files are on the hard drive. As you say your hard driver doesn’t show up when connected to the computer I assume that there’s a fault on your hard drive – if this is correct then you’ll need a data recovery service to get the files off and the cost for this is around £600.
Western digital Hard drive was not recognised by laptop when starting up. Pescado have looked at it and said to mention them for a rate.
Thank you for your enquiry – I’ve not a clue who Pescado are? Are they a computer firm or a data recovery company?
I have an Acer Aspire E1-571 that is a bit old by now to be fair…
It has been giving some problems, such as wi-fi connection and sometimes it was simply too slow. I think that’s what happens when it has 5 years on top of it with everyday Photoshop usage…
One day, I was working on it and it was running slow so I decided to restart it. When that happened, it never turned on again.
It gave me a message saying “Preparing automatic repair” for 3 hours; blank screen for another 2 hours; and “repairing errors of the disk” for another 8 hours. After those 8 hours, I forced the shutdown and when it turned on again, the first and second status only lasted 5 minutes each and the third one keep coming up. I left it for two days and nothing changed.
Basically, I can’t access my laptop and I have plenty of data there that I need to recover! University and work stuff especially…
Could you guys give me a quote of how much would be to recover the data? I don’t need to fix the laptop. I just need desperatly to recover all the data I have there…
My hdds pcb is dead and I would like to ask if you can repair it by swapping with a good one and changing the main controller chip. How much would cost that I live on Lombard Street in London I can send it to you by post.
The hard drive appears to have failed. The computer won’t boot and boot screen says there is no hard drive available to boot from. I would like to know if it is possible (and what the cost would be) to recover the data from the drive:
We would like to see if our Acer external hard drive can be recovered. The main files to recover are important pictures from our family. The drive is not detectable anymore when we plug in. HDD was beeping. A friend opened it and now beeps even worse. Containing personal data. 2TB HDD. Data about 800Gb. I would like to have quotation from you.
I have accidentally erased / formatted a Seagate 7200rpm USB 3 2TB external hard drive. The drive contained video files and project files and I need to get them retrieved. Is this possible? I haven’t used the drive since formatting.
Ain’t used in a long time. It has all my music and photos, videos music from over the years. Yesterday my was broke so hoped to get all music from the external but when i connect it it shows nothing and says almost empty but i know it was almost full. Anyway to retrieve it?
Hard drive does not read on laptop as is not spinning. It contains pictures. Hard Drive powers up but all i can hear is it trying to spin, pc or laptop does not recognise it also. Im in London.
Hard drive fell (a very very short distance) onto the floor, now is not recognised by Mac Pro. Makes a short sound when plugged into computer, but not recognised in Finder – but IS recognised in System Report. Looking to recover all data and move to new hard drive.
Went to format a drive and computer selected a different drive. unplugged it about 10sec in to formatting it so now wont mount. its a seagate 4tb drive and i need to recover about 500gig of photos and my iphoto cat off it. there is other info on it but i have those backed up already.
i just need a rough quote of cost to recover.
We require the data to be removed from approximately 250 removable SAS hard drives from mostly HP Pro Reliant servers prior to reselling. They are at a site in Camden, London. Please could you also let me know if there is availability over the next week.
My laptop does not recognise the hard drive when connected via USB. I have tried on multiple devices and had the same problem. It’s probably beyond my budget but I was just wondering (roughly) how much it would cost to retrieve music from my iPod classic?
